五念門

(五念門, 五念门)

The five devotional gates of the Pure-land sect:

(1) worship of Amitābha with the [lang id =1028]身 body;

(2) invocation with the [lang id =1028]口 mouth;

(3) resolve with the [lang id =1028]意 mind to be reborn in the Pure-land;

(4) meditation on the glories of that land, etc.;

(5) resolve to bestow one's merits, e. g. works of supererogation, on all creatures.

淨土宗所立， 即一， 身業禮拜阿彌陀佛， 屬禮拜門； 二、 口業執持彼佛名號， 讚歎彼佛相好功德， 屬讚歎門； 三、 一心發願， 願生彼國， 屬作願門； 四、 觀察彼佛菩薩， 及依正莊嚴， 屬觀察門； 五、 把功德迴向一切苦惱眾生， 令得畢竟解脫， 屬迴向門。
